Who We Are
An employment law attorney with over 25 years of experience, Irene Bassock honed her skills working for employers. She knows all of their tricks and strategies, and she’s on your side. Irene has honed her skills over the years, enabling her to develop best practices for complicated employment-related issues. She offers a range of services that includes negotiating complex executive-level agreements and partnering with clients to strategize on navigating legal hurdles in the workplace. She is also skilled in assisting clients with internal investigations and advising on legal pitfalls that may arise. Her clients view her as a legal partner who empowers them to find their voice.
Past Experience
Irene spent the early part of her career counseling clients in senior management and human resources, most recently as in-house employment counsel for a Fortune 200 financial services company. Her defense-side experience, combined with her current advocacy for employees, allows her to see both sides of the equation and advise employees on nuanced legal risks and negotiating tactics.
Current Work
Irene sits on the Board of Directors and Compensation Committee of Bristol Health in Bristol, Connecticut. And, she is an active member of the National Employment Lawyers Association and Connecticut Employment Lawyers Association, as well as the Connecticut Bar Association and Association of Workplace Investigators. You’ll also find her championing various causes, such as equal pay and limits on non-competes.
