Initial Consultation Fees
The fee for a consultation is a one-time event. It is essentially a flat-fee: you are paying for the attorney’s time and legal advice. We offer different rates for different types of consultations.
$100 for a 15-minute consultation
The most frequently asked questions are: “Do I Have a Case?” and “Should I Sign This Agreement?” If you’re wondering whether a law has been broken, whether your termination was legal, or whether your should sign an agreement with your employer, we invite you to speak with us about your situation. We won’t just tell you whether we’ll take the case or rush you into a lawsuit. We give you all the information and tools you need to make an informed decision for yourself – no pressure or sales pitches.
We’ll discuss the costs and benefits associated with pursuing legal action, what approach is in your best interest, and what you can expect if you choose to pursue a claim. We devote the utmost attention and care to our existing clients, and we want to do the same for you. If you don’t have a case, we’ll make sure you understand why, and discuss what other options might be available to you. And, if you hire us to help you beyond what we provided during the initial consultation, then we will credit the amount you pay for the initial consultation towards your future legal fees.
$500 for a review of an employment agreement and 30-minute consultation
This includes non-compete or severance contracts. Employees who need a contract review are not typically looking to pursue a case. Instead, they simply need advice on how to interpret a contract or how to negotiate for better terms.
We review the contract before the meeting, point out potential red flags, and give tips on negotiation. If you’d like us to step in and assist with negotiations or review subsequent drafts of the agreement, including follow-up discussions on strategy, then we can migrate to an hourly rate that will best serve your needs.
Free Case Evaluation
If you do not want to pay for a consultation, we invite you to fill out our online questionnaire, which should take 10-15 minutes to complete. We’ll review your responses and let you know by email if it’s something with which we can help you. This option does not include an explanation of the law, suggested strategies or legal advice.
